Not sure whether Fiesta Loca teaches Salsa, Swing, Ballroom, Line Dancing—or something completely different?
The short answer is: we teach a lot more than just one style of dance.
Fiesta Loca Central Queensland is a Gladstone dance school focused on real, enjoyable social dancing. Dance Styles at Fiesta Loca Central Queensland range from energetic Latin rhythms and classic Swing through to Ballroom, Line Dancing, Zumba and personalised wedding dance lessons.
You don’t need previous dance experience, and you usually don’t need to bring a partner. You simply need to be willing to step onto the floor and give it a go.
Social Latin dancing
Our Social Latin program includes:
Salsa
Cuban Salsa
Bachata
Cha Cha Cha
Rumba
Samba
Merengue
Kizomba
These dances cover everything from the upbeat energy of Salsa and Merengue to the smoother connection of Bachata, Rumba and Kizomba.
Social Latin is taught for the dance floor—not just for performances or competitions. We help you understand the rhythm, learn how to lead or follow and build enough confidence to dance with different partners.

Social Swing, Rock ’n’ Roll and Jive
Swing dancing is a major part of Fiesta Loca and includes:
Four Count Swing
Single-Time Swing
Four-Step Rock ’n’ Roll
East Coast Swing
West Coast Swing
Lindy Hop
Charleston
Jive
Some of these names overlap because Swing has developed differently across countries, dance schools and social scenes. Four Count Swing, Single-Time Swing and Four-Step Rock ’n’ Roll, for example, are closely related and are excellent starting points for beginners.
From there, dancers can explore the bounce and rotation of East Coast Swing, the classic feel of Lindy Hop and Charleston, or the smoother modern styling of West Coast Swing.
If the music makes your foot tap, we can usually find a Swing style to match it.

Ballroom, New Vogue and sequence dancing
Fiesta Loca also teaches Ballroom and sequence-style dances, including:
Waltz
Tango
Foxtrot
Quickstep
Gypsy Tap
Rhythm Barn Dance
Selected New Vogue and sequence dances
These styles are ideal for anyone who enjoys more traditional partner dancing, community dances, formal events or simply moving around the floor together.
Some styles are offered through scheduled classes, workshops or private lessons, depending on the current program.

Line Dancing
Our Line Dance classes range from complete beginner and easy walk-up dances through to higher-beginner routines.
The music is just as varied as the dancing. You might hear modern country, classic party tracks, pop, Latin music or a familiar pub favourite.
There is no partner required, and everyone learns the same sequence together. That makes Line Dancing one of the easiest ways to step into the Fiesta Loca community.
If you can count, tap your foot and laugh when it goes sideways, you’re ready to start.

Zumba fitness
Zumba combines Latin-inspired music, easy-to-follow movement and a full-body workout.
It isn’t a partner dance class, and there are no routines you need to master before attending. You follow the instructor, move at your own level and enjoy the music.
Our Zumba sessions can include Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Bachata and international pop influences.
Come for the workout, stay because it doesn’t feel like one.

Wedding lessons are built around the couple—not around forcing everyone into the same routine. We can create something relaxed and natural, develop a fully choreographed first dance or simply help you feel comfortable moving together.

Our timetable changes as new programs, workshops and community events are introduced, so not every dance style runs as a weekly group class at the same time. Many can also be arranged through private lessons.
